XP points are the currency of Poke-Paws, and are also the key to evolving.
To earn points in Poke-paws, you must be active in this group - you will contribute. To do so, you can draw pictures, keep logs and upload them, or just write, whether it be a mission or not. Your app does not count for points.
The amount of points you receive will be based on the quality of the drawing or writing, on a scale of one to 20. If it's a 5, like a sketch of a headshot, you get 5 XP points. If it's a 20, a full, detailed, drawing, you get 20 XP Points.
In order to reach the final evolution that your pokemon can evolve to, you need to earn a total of 300 XP points. If you have a two-evolution pokemon, you will have to earn 300 points before you can evolve. If you have a 3-evolution pokemon, you have to earn 150 for your first evolution, and have a total of 300 points for your second.
When you evolve you will be given special privileges to be bumped up into a more important rank if you wish, like a Gym Leader or an Elite Four. That is, if those spots are open.
This is to prevent automatic high-ranking.
To be able to create a new character, you need acquire 200 experience points for each additional character. This comes from your total, so if you already spent 150 on leveling a pokecat, you are still open to create a new one. A third character requires you to have at least 1 fully evolved pokecat. You can have a total of 3 characters. If a pair has kits, and wishes to pass one on, the rules still apply, since it's a new character, while parents can have their kits without cost, but they must remain in the 3 character zone.
You can keep track of your XP bank in the 'XP amounts for all members' journal. Keep track of your total. If you have 350 experience with one fully evolved pokecat, that basically means you have 50 FREE experience points, since the other 300 was put towards evolving your pokecat. You are open to create a new pokecat, since you've earn more than the required 200 banked EXP, but you cannot use that spent experience on evolving the new pokecat.
Example:
Jazznote has Chewy, Sparrow, and Ace.
She has a total of 728 EXP.
300 went to Chewy (on final evolution), 150 went to Sparrow (on second evolution), none has gone into Ace. (on first evolution.)
728-450 = 278
She has enough unused points to evolve either Sparrow to his final form, or Ace to her second. But not enough to evolve both.
The way art is "graded" is by common commissioning method:
Sketch - 5 XP
Flat - 10 XP (Lineart AND color)
Flat Background - 15 XP (Flat with simple background, no shading required)
Simple Shaded - 20 XP (Characters shaded, with a simple background that has a simple shade job)
Detailed - 25 XP (Complex background that's thoroughly shaded, with characters also shaded)
And an additional 5 for each extra character (Which is implemented at shaded+, it would be easy to sketch out 5 characters and earn yourself 25 XP.)
A piece like fav.me/d5ljz98 would be considered as a flat background, because the shading is simply a black overlay with a few bits and pieces erased out.
Admins do look over your art, so if you grade your own art, expect to be corrected if an admin deems the piece graded unfairly, be it too much, or too little.
Literature is given 5 experience points for each paragraph.
If the Literature exceeds 5 pargraphs, it goes down to 3 experience points per paragraph.
The XP will be broken off at 30 XP if it goes longer.
It's quite easy to write a book and get 100 XP.
Animation is given 5 experience for each uniquely made frame group. If there was a scene of a pokecat talking, it is given 5 points for the entire segment, and it will remain 5 points if said scene is used later on. Having your Poke-Cat move from one side of the screen to the other (with proper animation) is 5 experience. You get the idea? If not, an admin will explain how they graded your animation once you make one, to ensure you understand where your points are coming from.

Almost all Wrapped up - Important
Almost all of our members have moved to the new group, and this group will soon be closed. We still have a few things to wrap up, but I'd like to thank you all. Thank you for the wonderful memories in this group, the laughs, the drama, the fun. Now let's go continue it in our new group, our new legacy!
There won't be any more news from us here, as were shutting down Poke-Paws and handling Pocket-Felines now. So we'd like you to leave this group and unwatch so it doesn't clutter your page! (You will be kicked from this group if you don't feel like hitting the 'Leave this Group' button, but whatever floats your boat.)

I just had a good idea for a new character. Better save up some XP before the pokemon I need gets taken!
